Okay this may seem like a dumb question but I've been out of the loop for a while. I played a lot of Shadowcat back in the day and after watching some YouTube videos I figured I'd get a few games in here and there. I also noticed some guys running around with Shadowcats with wings.. I don't see those in the bolt-ons menu. I have the SHC-D(S) which I saw in a YouTube video with them.

What am I missing here?

You can try begging MWO for these beautiful SHC wings, and perhaps maybe enough players pester MWO for these, perhaps MWO might add these back in as MC purchasable a long time from now...

(Or MWO can implement similar wings for MC...)

I would think that they have taken a lesson from the Phoenix pack.

It still seems insane for me that they would lock bolt-ons and camos like this and tie them only to specific variants. Why are collector edition camos not just unlocked for the chassis? Why aren't hero camos available for all chassis variants if you bought the hero? Why are anniversary camos also tied to specific variants?

Just a lot of missed opportunities for making more money that I can see because all the cool stuff is always tied to something that is either impossible or stupidly hard to get duplicates of (which at that point, why require me to bother even trying to get duplicates, why isn't it just an unlock?).

Haha. They already got it for the D(S) so I guess the joke's on me. I should've known better.

I hate FOMO and limited-time exclusives so much. Just seems like a massive middle finger to returning players and a huge waste of time to the people that actually model these things and then they're gone forever after a single limited-time sale...

So dumb on so many levels.

Are bolt on's bugged because i see no Ghillie bolts for anything other than left arms on Annihilator.

Some Bolt-ons are cool and fit the 'Mech (like that wing mentioned above), but many other bolt-ons are just a junk.

some dont fit on the geometry of the mech in question. its kinda off

I've bought a grand total of 1 bolt on: a bush. thought it would at least be transferable between chassis but um no.
