So after returning from a long hiatus, I found the discord servers I hung out in for casual group drops is abandoned. Where do people that want comrade, voice com grouping, but don't have time to invest in unit/clan meetings and/or politics? I just want to drive big shooty stompy robots with other cool peeps that want too as well! I don't mind FP and working towards mech bays. I am just random on times I can play and let's be honest I am rusty as can be as a pilot!
Are there even servers like this any more?
Thanks

You could join the Critical Damage Unit's Discord server. It is a unit, sure, but it's pretty laid back, and pretty much exactly what you're asking for. There is for sure a competitive element, especially with the championship series going on right as I'm typing this, but you aren't required to engage with it to find people to play with.

The MWO Comp Discord is a good hub for this. There are plenty of units with casual QP groups still left. Follow the links, peek into a few and see who you get along with.

Hope the OP doesn't mind if i jump on this, But are there any Teamspeak hubs around still? I've used them in the past during FW events and they were fun.
I've also been thinking about maybe trying my hand at that comp thing this year if it's still starting. I'm certainly not a top player by no means, but maybe there are some lower level folks looking to get into grouping or beginner comp.

I think discord has replaced most TS servers.

1) Since you are based in USA, find a Team that is USA time based that uses Discord for real time communications... and I would suspect that there are many of those around!
You may also peruse here:

2) Our [SSBH] is European time based casual team using Discord, so probably not your cup of tea...

3) Oh, and a warm welcome back to MWO!

When I last played for BWC, they were using Teamspeak. You could message them and see if they still have one running.
But as other's have said, I think Discord has eaten a good portion of Teamspeak's lunch. As far as gaming goes, anyways.
