Coming back to the game as it is used for Batchalls in the Rougetech rougewar.

Installed and no sound at all when I launch the game.

Researched and found that it seems to only affect bluetooth headphones, and possibly not even all of them. the few people I found in the forums, reddit, and steam discussions who had a similar issue seem to have just given up or walked away as there were no solutions proided in those threads.

I worked out that the sound cancellation is somehow tied to MWO taking over the microphone.

When I turned the off the option to allow desktop apps to access microphone from the microphone settings it re-enabled sound for the game (as well as the rest of my computer).

Not a long term solution but a start for anyone who is using Bluetooth headphones and running into this sound bug.

Good enough for what I need the game for, so just going to move forward as is for now..
