For any of you looking at this year’s rewards and wondering what Loyalty mech to get, I’d advise you to do some image searching first. Some of the mechs, in addition to being +30% cBill grinders… are freaking GORGEOUS.

For example, the Griffin 5M(L)

Well, what should your 'Mech do?

Also, some of them are OmniMechs, so they can switch OmniPods.

Here are the choices for the light/medium Loyalty mechs and my thoughts (for what they're worth).

Blackjack BJ-2(L) = funky rainbow camo, 2E+4M, top speed 84kph
Centurion CN9-AH(L) = gorgeous camo, tanky, quirked for AC/20 and UAC/20, top speed 89 kph
Cicada CDA-3F(L) = camo meh, jumps, 20% cooldown on 4 Energy hardpoints, solid mech
Griffin GRF-5M(L) = gorgeous camo, mixed bag hardpoints, its a Griffin so it doesn't take fire well.
Javelin JVN-11F(L) = decent camo, 2E+6B, quirked for machine gun brawler
Kit Fox KFX-G(L) = decent camo, ECM, light on hardpoints, Omnimech
Nova NVA-D(L) = camo meh, wicked AC cooldown quirk, light on hardpoints, Omnimech
Urbanmech UM-R68(L) = interesting camo, its the missile Urbie
Urbanmech UM-R80(L) = last year's "gold cracks" camo, ECM, PPC quirks
Viper VPR-F(L) = last year's "gold cracks" camo, excellent 8 MG fast brawler
Wolverine WVR-7D(L) = camo meh, quirked for 2 right arm UAC/RAC

Just missing the Kit Fox. So I'll likely get it this year just to complete the set.

Honestly, the Griffin would hands down be my pick just because the camo blows away everything else PGI has ever released. It was that artist's parting gift to the company. It is, however, a Griffin, and they're very unforgiving when soaking fire due to geometry and size. Second choice for me would be the Centurion or the Cicada because the mechs perform so well (and the Cent has the "lady angel" camo that the Loyalty Atlas and King Crab are famous for).
