"Matchmaker"
More information needed. From what I understand, the current match maker works "as intended", but it only works within the context of the tier system. Tier 1 is tier 1 is tier 1 is tier 1, so it doesn't matter if the MM is weighing Joe Schmoe or Sweaty McSweaterson, they are both considered the same under the tier system. So the fact that 4/5 comp players in any given match wind up on the same team doesn't really matter to the MM. As far as it's concerned, so many tier 1 players are on one team and so many are on the other. Premades also skew the matchmaker, because it isn't allowed to separate premade players from one another. Premades essentially force it to do a bad job in some cases, so I'm not sure how changing anything about the MM is going to help. I'm interested to know PGI's proposed solution.

Amazingly they've even ignored the low-hanging fruit; random attack/defense, fix the entrance of Boreal so it's not a shooting lane, add back counter-attack. Any of these should have been fairly easy to implement but, hey, Platinum Pack 7, yo! No need to bother with FP when you can reskin existing mechs and throw out not one but TWO tiers of tourney supporter packs. Guess I should stop complaining and being sarcastic and buy packs so I can earn more c-bills I absolutely don't need.
