It's a serious question. Dead serious.

I'm thinking of finally delving into PPC poptarting mechs using Jump Jets (JJ),
which I'm terrible at aiming while JJ'ing around.

So what's a quick and dirty way of improving my PPC aiming while JJ'ing around?
The targeting reticle shakes around, making it hard for me to aim.

So should I glue a small dot in the center of my LCD screen at my default targeting reticle location while my mech is on the ground, with its arms locked?

This small dot is small enough not to interfere with my real life computer work, and more importantly, this small dot would not detract me from my MWO aiming while playing!

easy.
Jump, let go off the jump key, aim (shake stops), shoot, engage jumpjets again for smooth landing.
Rinse and repeat.
Or use the Highlander Heavy Metal, the only Mech in the game that has no screen shake while using JJs.

"Heavy Metal" is not offered as a part of the Platinum Coollection.

"Heavy Metal" costs hefty 6750 in the Store and $27.00 if bought separately.

I knew Aidan Crenshaw was referring to Heavy Metal as a hero mech that need to be bought with real money, or with MC.

I'm seriously thinking of getting the BJ-3(P) from the Platinum Collection!

If you need a really accurate shot you might need to fly higher, if you just want to land something just barely ridge peek with the JJ and then as you fall fire at the enemy. Don't bother using advanced zoom unless you're flying real high or you're standing still.

Pretty much what Aidan said, rince repeat, learn timing make it fluent for you over time.

Unless you really want to play supbar heavy metal don't bother with it.
Urbies, Firesterter-A Katana-Kat, Bj-3, Cicada-3F, HBK-IIC-A, Sparky, Vapors, Summoners, Grasshoppers, Warhammers might be best of poptarts, probably many others I forgot to mention. Vapor and Summoner probably the best of the best.
