imagine having two or more mechs loaded into a game, and if you die, you die.
but the eject button would offer you an opportunity to bail on your current damaged mech for a new one, before you die. the idea would be "how close can i get to death, before i should eject?"

also neat that override, then alpha strike, and then eject would become a possibility. risk a death from bad timing for a final alpha strike.

and only the mechs used in that game would get locked to the battle until the battle is finished, so it's not annoying to die right away. and maybe some sort of mercy rule, where if there is just a single flea left (always a flea) against a full team, then maybe he doesn't get all of his lives back to save everyone's time.
like maybe, when there is a decisive amount of tonnage on one side, like controlling an objective and letting that objective decide how many mechs you can respawn in. logically the bigger teams would hold them all if only a flea was left.
but i see it as kinda cheap if the teams are even and yet one team holds all objectives for just the same seconds that a mech dies, they have no respawns for those seconds.. so weigh it against team's tonnage too, or something like that.
