Full crud about no group drops in events. Your MM puts them in group anyways without matching up players classes.

Problem is, some of those sync dropping folks might end up fighting against each other. XD

i play 3 to 5 games per day, have no voice in what happens---- but i am still having fun, i really like the fact that some light has to scream help when learns my timberwolf is going to snip his legs off, i had 4 lights and or high speed mechs on me last night i KILLED 1 and chopped the leg off a second 1, and they called me NEW GUY.
0k i get it, i did 275 damage, maybe 200 match score, but i had a kill and assisted in 8 more, yes maybe 2 from a UAV--- yes you need many, and air strikes, to help THE TEAM,
its can be a fickle thing with new units, its a learning curve, i was muted by the 4 man group that DIED in first 4 mins of the game, can say 1 light was with me and he had a nice load out, stole 2 of my kills LOL, 4 MG i think and 3 med, i was hitting for about 32 to 46 damage pin point, and then he just took my killl LOL, thanks little DUDE

At least for the HPG Assault event, players can form up in a group and then enter into the event queue with that group.
Sync dropping gives chance for those players to be on opposite teams, so I don't have an issue with that, but this group thing in a event marked no groups is kinda messed up.

Sync dropping doesn't work like that... well maybe it does one in a million or so, usually about half of the people doing that ends up in other team... PS. Screenshot would be nice addition.

Against what rules? Code of Conduct? Nope it doesn't mention it at all.

I know you probably know this, but for the forum ignorant, a few years ago during an argument about this same tired topic, one of the forum mods, not a dev, but a single forum mod, once declared from on high that sync-dropping was a violation of the COC. That single instance has been cited repeatedly by various members of the "groups are killing the game" crowd as their sole piece of evidence that sync dropping is "cheating". The fact that the COC doesn't address this directly, or that no dev has ever indicated that syncing is problematic, or that streamers, including some that were once employed by PGI, regularly employed sync dropping for years without issue, and that even some PGI devs would occasionally sync drop with others is all irrelevant to these people.

Actually didn't know.

looks like more broken stuff. EQ gonna turn out to FP if not fixed.

Yeah, looks like its just plain not working as intended. But the anti-group crowd powerfully needs there to be a conspiracy.
I'll note that OP's only other post, was a thread in which he claimed, without evidence, that t4s and t1s were regularly matching and that he was regularly facing high-tonnage teams; again, without evidence.

It may have been an honest oversight or even a programming mistake, but think MWO overall tries to do what it says it would do.
And definitely not a lie. An honest (programming) mistake.
Please give MWO programmers a break; mistakes do occasionally happen. Thanks.
(Now can I take the cotton buds off my ears now?)

It helps claim like this to some evidence like screenshot instead of just a claim that it happened. (Sync drop didn't happen clearly.)
But looks like typo from PGI whoever "programmed" these events. Not the 1st and not the last time PGI didn't double check what they have typed before releasing stuff.

Im not blaming PGI for this, mistakes happens.
But if they not gonna fix it EQ gonna die like FP. Hope they finally change their ways and focus on fixing/adjusting new gamemode, not just here it is and we not gonna do any more work on "its perfect" and carry on with next project. We dont need more broken stuff that people exploit...

Hey how about you people disprove it happening? Where are your screenshots and stats? Everyone is supposed to believe you just because you say the moon is waxpaper not cheese?
We get it, you love the game so much you will defend it against any negative statement of an experience in the game. If you love it so much and it's so perfect why are you not employed there? I hear they are hiring?

Usually if you claim something that says information given by PGI is false, you gotta have some kind of evidence for that claim to have any weight.
and TBH that syncdrop scenario should be impossible what OP described having 8x T1 players sync dropping on one side and other side getting zero T1 players but instead just lower tier randoms, yeah MM doesn't work like that.
Kotis77 provided evidence that it is possible to drop as a group in EQ, very simple and effective to make people believe that claim.

I don't think anyone has made such crazy claims here.

Who again here was defending against any negative statement.
I would not want to work in that incompetent company, well it actually might be better now without Paul and Russ.

Just because it can happen, doesn't mean it does, even regularly. If you disagree with that, you can prove it, but i'm not doing your homework for you.
BellatorMonk, on 03 October 2022 - 06:48 AM, said:
Kotis provided proof its a technical glitch. Babbling about proving a negative however is a typical strategy for people with shaky arguments. You don't get to pass the responsibility for proving yourself right onto your opponent. Come here with receipts or don't come at all.
