Since when do IS SRms do more damage?

















So i'm paying MORE for LESS DAMAGE!?!?

No, you are not "paying MORE for LESS DAMAGE".

Clan SRMs are significantly lighter than their Inner Sphere counterparts:

• Clan SRM-2 is 1/2 ton lighter than IS SRM-2.
  
• Clan SRM-4 is 1 ton lighter than IS SRM-4.
  
• Clan SRM-6 is 1,5 ton lighter than IS SRM-6. Also, Clan SRM-6 takes up only one equipment slot.

Generally speaking, the saved tonnage can be used for equipping additional Clan weapons that would more than make up for the individual difference between IS and Clan missiles.

Hint: Clan: just stuff as many SRM as you can, it's much lighter, but more spread).

Hint: IS: It's a toss-up between Artemis-SRM vs regular SRM for IS, according to above discussion tangent.
(Personally for my Atlas AS7-D-DC(P), I use 3x Artemis-SRM6, and my favorite ballistic weapons!)

In general terms I always thought this game was more complex that "more damage=better" so it didn't bother me too much...it isn't that much damage in any case.

If you mean CB price yeah but that price is pretty much irrelevant.
Relevant numbers are tonnage and slot price for damage and Clanners have pretty damn good price compared to IS.
