Hi all,

How do you get the DIRE WOLF DWF-PRIME(G)?
I saw one in a match and can't find it anywhere in the web store or in the game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello!

Golden 'Mechs (golden Daishi Prime included) were available in 2013. They can not be purchased anymore.

You can only see them in the game, but you will not find them in the Store.

Tough luck.

Those golden 'Mechs were not exactly cheap: $500 apiece.

Hey... perhaps if 'O s t d a r v a' directly contacts PGI with the promise of paying hard $$$ to get their hands on the Golden "(G)" Mechs from that era, then they might have a chance to actually purchase some. Don't know if that will actually work, but it's just a thought...

Failing that of course, there is always the option for 'O s t d a r v a' to simply purchase the Platinum Collection which contains the Mech Chassis they are wishing to have a golden-type color on. Then they get the Platinum Skin Camo unlocked for ALL Variants of the Chassis in question, and they can try using their various Paint Colors to find one that is close enough to being golden that it allows them to have the desired visual effect on the battlefields. It's true that unless the actual Platinum "(P)" Special Variant was used in battle, then the associated (C-Bills) Bonus to assist with earnings from any Match that they decide to play would not be received. But there is always the bright side that at least they would have the shiny new Camo to work with and enjoy.

I also want Gold Dire Wolf DWF-Prime(G), and hopefully the Gold Camo works across all Dire Wolf variants!

(I've tried to turn Platinum Timber Wolf into Gold [3x Jade Falcon Gold], but it's not quite the same as Gold Camo!)

You have to go to the testing grounds and try different maps. Canyon is pretty neutral, rubellite, has very harsh lighting directly from about and drowns out most special effects, Polar also makes colors to appear brighter and more washed out, etc.

I've seen (P) mechs in various shades of plain yellow numerous times. Took a while to realize that they weren't going for some kind of simple desert paint job and didn't have the right shade of earth/sand colors, but actually trying to make their mechs look like gold.

Please post back to this thread when you figure that out. I do not happen to know who should be contacted for this, and am merely trying to point the mob of people wanting Gold "(G)" Mechs in the right direction. Perhaps someone has to poke 'Russ Bullock' (if they're still in-charge... I have no idea if they are) or another PGI Executive over this matter? Or maybe it's someone else... I literally have no idea.

I guess that the following explicit disclaimer should be made... I HAVE ONLY MADE A SUGGESTION AS TO SOME POTENTIAL COURSE OF ACTION WHICH ANY PERSON MAY TRY. DO NOT PLACE BLAME ON ME IF THIS PATH HAPPENS TO BE FOUND AS NOT ACTUALLY VALID. I DO NOT POSSESS ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE OF WHETHER ANY ANGLE IN THIS REGARD WILL HELP OR NOT IN ACHIEVING THE INTENDED GOAL OF OTHERS. Of note however... The last that I had heard, those Gold Mech Camos do not have the ability to unlock across all Variants for a player's use. They're locked specifically to the Gold "(G)" Mech that they come pre-applied with as the Basic Camo Pattern due to the generation in which they were developed. Sorry!!!
