Just barely a day ago, JGx DATA posted a YouTube video to his MW4 Mercenaries modification and instructions on how to download and get it to work, Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries Campaign Overhaul 1.0. You guys should check it out, I downloaded and played it and it's pretty damn awesome, experienced none of the problems from the mektek version, but all of the goodies.

Details, do watch the full video with DATA's walkthrough, you will have to make a Nexus mods' account (no need for the premium membership though... unless the slow download is a deal breaker...) Oh and of course this mod is FREE! But if you don't feel like making a donation (this project did take some work to achieve) do show appreciation at the comments section of the same video if you like the mod.

MW4 Mercenaries is a very old game that requires esoteric magic in order to run in modern system, this is as good as it gets when it comes to bringing such classic back to life.

Negative, the mod is standalone.
