That actually turned out to be a wonderful accident, and it was super fun.
To win those games you had to defend your base while your team tried to cap theirs.
I played defense with a long range light and 2 arty strikes, and my only goal was to delay their cap.
Remember that? That was so fun.

No the cap timer was supposed to be longer but came out shorter or something like that.
People could win with like, I don't remember, 15 seconds or so on the base uninterrupted.
So essentially it was required to have people watching your base while the majority of the team went to try to get theirs.

but yeah i remember that OP, it was rather fun. i do so enjoy all the shenanigans that happen in EQ. we honestly need EQ at least every weekend. i think having all kinds of odd match types would bring people back or keep new players longer. putting it on weekends when the majority of people have a little free time to get on (i do feel for you folks that have to work on the weekends though just going pure numbers here) would be the best time. hell if means hiring one person to handle it or even rotating staff (if PGI even has staff that work the weekends) than you should do it. would be sort of interesting to have a different person handling the EQ each weekend or even each day. i think it might be something fun for the PGI staff (though it would also require making the system that governs the EQ parameters to be easy to manipulate without breaking everything)

If you don't have respawns of some form, then the fastest way to end a match remains killing the enemy team. Given how PGI has structured the game, its basically impossible to step around that without some kind of respawn system.

Each new QP-Match is a new spawn with a new, intact chance to win!

Do i need to explain why watching the queue spin for 5-10 minutes, just to get 2 minutes of play, watch your team die, and then get booted back to the menu is absolutely an aweful way to play this game? Or are you so scared of losing that you'd rather stare at the queue?

This would require someone to try defending own base for once.
Also require players to finally communicate with each other, like, "this game is fast base capture, help our base now!!".
Encourages Light/Medium to explore/probe enemy base more. Accelerated Capture quirk mechs finally matter!
How about it?
