Why do we only see mechs similar to humans?
a fast wolf or a multi-legged spider would be nice
or a scorpion
4 legs 6 legs

timberwolf is far from human it's a 'chickenwalker"
if we start adding four legs and 6 legs.... well there's alot that comes with that also last i recall most 4 legged mechs are lights or mediums and most 6 leggged ones are work mechs
also how do you compensate for 2 legged mechs when they are facing 4 legged mechs??

it's all a matter of preference
can be compensated by the speed limit, which can be compensated by the balance of power and armor. I'm sure it will be a beautiful sight.
etc
2 leg human skeleton 50 armor
4 leg wolf 20 armor
Think of it like fast mechs and heavy mechs in the game. fast but low armor
slow but powerful

Animating so-called quadrupedal 'Mechs would be difficult.
Also, many of those quads would not be viable in MWO.

Just a heads-up to everyone... Last that I had heard, the current state of MWO's game engine is incapable of supporting Quadrupedal Mechs at this time. Programming for that would have needed to occur ages ago if they were to ever be a thing here now. Financially speaking, getting this done would be extremely painful, and might kill MWO before the Quad Mechs could have a chance to emerge. We have far better chances of seeing the "UrbanMech IIC" ("UM-IIC") first by comparison.

what part of any of this is battletech?
https://www.sarna.ne...cyon_(ProtoMech)
there's also a quad version and i could see protomechs working but they'd have to do some modifing of them.
