OptionCfg.cl_fov this value gives angles vertically and horizontally, but is it possible to set only horizontal fov?

I am using widescreen monitor 34 inch 2560x1080

I really need this

That first image, did you have the game resolution numbers flipped in your file Posted Image ? 21:9 Ultrawide aspect ratio

Are actually manually adjusting the FOV via the user.cfg file? MWO has a slider for the FOV in settings since 2016... And the FOV a player uses will be dependent on several things, not with just monitor size and resolution, but also the distance the user is from that monitor.

And FOV used on most mechs may not work for all mechs.

If you are trying to customize your FOV, be forewarned that the UI does not scale.

https://www.fov-calculator.com/en/

https://themetalmunc...ub.io/fov-calc/ this one is both a vertical and horizonal calculator - This heavily modified Cryengine 3 uses vertical fov value. The in-game slider goes from 60 to 120 with default at 75? Anyhow.. the larger the number further the target appears at default view (non-zoom) but it does not affect when zooming into a target.

https://mwomercs.com...ruth-about-fov/

Also, there is a Free Look hotkey, where you can look further to the left/right. Default hotkey is/was Left Cntrl key.

I'm using the vertical monitor right now and I can't go above 120 fov. I just want to see the cockpit, I have no other purpose.

I'm searching but nothing. Is there anyone who can help?

A command like cl_hfov for example?

Ahh that is what you are attempting to do, but you are comparing Cryengine to Unreal. afaik, Cryengine doesnt have that type of command, so it would be difficult Posted Image

You can just add cl_fov= [what you want] in a user.cfg file.
And perhaps r_DrawNearFOV= [what you want]. I'm not sure if it can help for a widescreen monitor.

I think you should keep the thread in your signature updated :)

there is a limit for the first command max 120
I haven't tried the second command yet but I'm not sure it will work in attributes.xml.

as I understand after the update some commands are restricted

What should i update ? Nothing has changed for years regarding user.cfg
You should be able to use lower/bigger values through the user.cfg :)

I tried many commands that work on cryengine, I just tried to expand the fov horizontally and failed.

https://docs.cryengi...play/CRYAUTOGEN

I see what you see.

I found this.

That game uses a more recent version of cryengine. Same with your cryengine commands, 3.6.9 is too recent.
Cryengine variables list change a little with each version.
You can't take any post from a website and expect it to work.

well these are standard options aren't they? fov? so angle?

so what i mean is main commands.

Do you think there is no obstacle for commands in the game?
for precautionary purposes. COMMANDS THAT WORK, COMMANDS THAT DO NOT WORK

like blacklist?

attributes.xml

Isn't it a validation mechanism?

<Attr name="OptionCfg.cl_fov" value="80.000000"/>

e.g

OptionCfg. ?

don't these commands confirm before they run?

it would be a weakness if every command on cryengine worked.
