It should be a feature again, I heard it used to be in earlier iterations of MWO, but for the sake of compromising to ppl who think this should be another COD clone, what if the nock down only happens when certain conditions are met? Like lossing of a leg?being hit by two (maybe three to encourage teamwork) UAC/AC/LBX 20 at optimal range? Maybe it could be so it's Possible to negate the chance of happening to a degree by the skill nodes like operation's Improved Gyro node, improving the dice roll with each node.
Also thinking nocking down should only cause internal damage to the mech.
Why? Because the MWO meeds to distance itself from CODMW style of gameplay as much as possible, a gun and run adrenaline pumped bs thats only fun from one short lived firefight to the next. There are ppl who will steer clear from MWO because of that impression, and people who will try and drop the game for the same reason. My two cents though.

I love nockback mechanic of MW3. Each ballistic and PPC shot you receive applies a momentum onto your mech. This momentum causes torso twist and whole mech roll. Multiple simultaneous shots create greater momentum which can throw your mech on the ground.
