The proliferation of the Crael SRM/MG build has made it abundantly clear that machine guns need to stop dealing damage to armor. They work well as crit seekers, punishing open components, but with 10 machine guns on a mech is able to chew through even assault mech CT armor in a matter of seconds. We had the same problem with the Piranha, but at least that mech is made of paper. 10 heavy machine guns and 4 SRM 6 in a heavy is a significantly larger problem. Please alter the machine gun damage to deal 0 damage to armor so that boating them has a more significant risk/reward.

or just nerf the Creal, instead of effecting everyone with a small change.

What is that assault 'Mech waiting for? The Crusader is a big and not especially fast 'Mech - easy target for your assault 'Mech.

The "Crael"s arms are also big and easily targetable.

"Crael"s Machine Guns also need a lot of ammo.

While using those Machine Guns, "Crael" can not torso twist to spread damage

And of course, Machine Guns have a very short range of mere 130 metres.

That would effectively remove them from the game - and with them 'Mechs designed around MGs.

Hmm, while I agree, lower tier players aren't taking off components as easily. They also aren't splashing damage so I can see how MG boats are getting annoying. Maybe add ghost heat after shooting for X amount of time or something like the RAC system? 12 MG's 12 dps no heat barely any tonnage I can see how this seems broken idk.

Ghost heat for a weapon that does no heat??? So you want your guass rifles on the IS side to do more heat as well??? that would jsut make people not use MG's if you even add heat, how many mechs can carry 12 or more Mg's anyway i can only think of 3 off hand that can even get close to 12.

1 DPS per MG, no heat, barely any tonnage. I see a few ways this gets fixed. Adopt the RAC heat system for MGs. Limit the hardpoints for MGs. Maybe also reduce the range for dmg drop off.

Best fix is add crit dmg drop off and turn MG's in projectile weapons instead of hitscan like lasers...
