You heavily overrate how much modding can do.
Even if that wishful thinking was possible, someone who achieved it would be doing it without a valid license for the IP and quickly find themselves on the wrong side of a cease & desist letter.

Most of what I've heard from the modders is "Microsoft's okay with it, as long as we don't make a cent from it". I've also heard that one person HAS manage to get something like 20-person Coop matches working. So you can have an entire company of live-piloted 'mechs go on a mission. It's only a matter of time before they then figure out how to swap IFF codes.

And that is the $64,000 question. Based on how they treated MWLL? Questionable, at best. Conversely, if MWLL2 turns out the way their modders are hoping, and MWO keeps fading away, it's possible MWLL2 will pick up some of the population who's looking for that kind of PvP experience.

That's a bit like Armed Assault 1/2/3 Co-Op Missions : Huge Team of Players working their way through a town and shooting at NPC badguys! Posted ImagePosted Image

Almost certainly, particularly after the demonstration everyone just got about how bad ticking off an entire gaming community can be. We're smaller than D&D, but we're -much- more fanatical.

I hope I can see those beautiful maps on mwo2.

I loved the maps in mw5. especially smoke, glowing red metals. like in an open world.

it feels that way.

I would really like to fight people on these maps.

Did we ever get an answer on the new mech? Was Grand Crusader the correct guess?
