So, mainly to speak, I can't use ultra AC's, their dogass ugly. And if the Mech don't look right, like a Banshee with a laser in the middle of his face. Well, I just can't do it. I can't let them on the battlefield looking like that. Put a ultra on a Timberwolf and it's liable to put out an allies eye, it's like 40 meters long. Can anybody recommend a remedy, No, that doesn't work.

i dont really like game mechanics that look like game mechanics. if the performance is not realistic, at least make the function mirror reality as close as possible. i dont really think any military would put up with a weapon as jam happy as the uac (though historic examples do exist, they seldom have long service lives and are quickly replaced). id rather it just be a hot long-burst autocannon that does more damage. though any weapon can jam if you push it hard enough.
charge up mechanics also dont make sense. a weapon might have an arming time, but it stays armed to keep it ready to fire until the threat is passed. racs bug me the most because thats not the way brrrrrrrrrrrrt beasts operate. the way missiles operate is different because modern missiles are usually used beyond visual range.
lock on mechanics are also somewhat artificial, because if your computer can put a box around your target on the hud, it knows where its at. of course you have to make a lot of performance exaggerations to keep it from being op, because in a real war every weapon is op, thats kind of the point.

The keeper of my OCD trigger list in this game are long and and varied... Most are cosmetic like texture gaps or stretching. Weirdly placed cockpit trinkets... And yes, weapon placement, scale and asymmetry.
There are multiple mechs I can't pilot because of the errors.
Most are just plain laziness on the part of the artists.
