The lad just really does not like pink! I 'member in the 90s my parents once dressed me in jeans, a striped pink shirt and a bow tie to go to a kid's birthday party. Maybe SAWK is my long lost brother, except he never got over the emotional trauma.

I always smile when supposedly "secure" men get tilted about a color. It's just a color. If they're concerned that a woman is going to think they're less manly because they're wearing pink, imagine what that woman is going to think when they see that man getting all huffy and bent out of shape about something that literally can't hurt them.

It just screams emotionally fragile. That's not attractive.

HMM it its that VAL DAY again, the story of pink, i am one of those guys --- that you hated, i am good looking, total MALE, and will tell you, i have in old age, had 4 VIRGINS, i did love pink as a young guy, retired now.
AND from time to time still chat with said women, ok maybe 1 i had chase off, but i am ok with that, i hate pink because someone took to GAY BAR.
I lost control, left and walked 2.5 miles home, be alert around you, no was harmed, i have no record, still a proud ARMY GUY.

Sawk, I get the feeling you're overcompensating. If you're so triggered by a color that's a you thing and not something that should influence PGIs color palette for a Valentine's Day themed event.

It's a generational gap. People, especially men, used to be a lot more sensitive and emotional. Luckily we're moving in the right direction, becoming mentally tougher and less prone to breakdowns in situations that affect us not in the least.

I got 6 kg of bright pink PLA filament for free. I use it for all kinds of stuff that I plan on plating or painting. So a few of the mechs I have printed and copper plated are actually pink.

while my favorite color right now is probably battleship gray, i do have a few pinkbots. paint is just paint.

I think it's fine you don't like pink. It's not fine to perpetuate your misconceptions about people who do like the color, regardless of their gender. People are allowed to like things! Let people enjoy things! PGI has kindly given free colors in the past that I may not have liked, but I was simply grateful for the free color and didn't use it. I recommend you do similar.

I'm a female pilot and the majority of my 459 'mechs look like this, gloriously pink. I know a few other female, male, and nonbinary pilots with pink 'mechs too.
