Is velocity a constant from the weapon barrel to the maximum distance traveled?

Do weapon spread reduction quirks/skills (like for LBX) apply to the ideal distance only, or is it from the weapon barrel to maximum distance traveled?

Velocity is constant and spread affects a salvo as soon as it leaves the barrel.

Didn't AC20s use to be affected by bullet drop at some point? At least I seem to remember that being the case.

EDIT: After some experimenting, it looks like they still are.

What about LBX"s?
Are they susceptible to the same type of bullet drop?

Does the Velocity skill node have any effect on machine guns?

No, Velocity skill mode does not affect machine guns.

JGx Data said in one of his YouTube videos that machine guns are "hit-scan" similar to lasers.

ie:
~There is no machine gun lag; just aim machine gun directly onto fast moving target same as lasers. No need to lead your target.
~Specifically, the machine gun "bullets" is just a visual effect. There is no such thing as a "machine gun bullet".

I think it just increases the ammo.

Thanks for the explanation

Nope 0 effect. Ammo nodes do increase ammo. Sound to easy?

And woqi explained correctly, that they are hit scan. So ignore the direction the bullets are flying and put the crosshairs over the target. Mgs are also not affected from cooldown nodes (another often mixed up fact)

A quick test says yes. It's less noticeable because of their cone of fire effect, but there is a fair amount of pellets that scatter under below the reticle and none that scatter above it.

Looks like the bullet drop may be related to the optimal range in some manner, BTW - I'm not observing it for targets in the optimal range, but I am observing it past that range.

There always has been a bullet drop or gravity effect but I'm unsure if it's calculated as true, Earth-gravity.
