so one thing ive been doing, other than the events, is putting 20 games minimum on my seldom used mechs. with 550 mechs in my hanger, it was a big job. as of today, that task is complete. the process has revealed a few hidden gems, but mostly a lot of trashmechs.

pokemechs was another pass time, and limited by how fast i can procure mech bays. right now i have four, im gonna use the mc from one of the next legendary mechs to buy some more. other than that, those are slated for some science sale mechs, and i found four in the patch notes i did not presently own.

most of the remaining mechs are already leveled and have historic skill points still on the ledger. there is the hatchet man, which i do not presently own (will get for cbills when that happens), and 43 heros i dont have yet. of course these will also need to be brought up to at least 20 games. so there is that.

leveling up my psr is an option, even though i bubbled up to t2 last night, and doubt i can maintain t1. staying in t2 is more a matter of not running the known trashmechs than doing anything special, so not sure if there is any value in trying to get to t1.

newskilling mechs is also a thing i can do. a mere 137 are oldskilled and need to be redone. cbills are short though with how many mechs ive been buying, down to < 50mil (and i could probibly double it just selling surplus medium lasers).

so i guess its restock on cbills, and will do that by running all hero and special mechs with <30 games. and maybe after that, putting more games on those hidden gems ive found, to see if they are really good or if it was just a quirk of the pendulum.

My goals to get all mechs and build them to get at least good results. There are no 100% trash mechs.

Its boring to play in superb mech.

hey whatever you find fun go with it as long as you aren't griefing or seal clubbing i am fine with it. i have seen some very strange builds over the years that preform very well in the hands of that pilot.

wish more people would care about having fun instead of trying for the most meta of meta. use mixed builds and silly **** from time to time.

Building 3025 mechs that are fun to play is an interesting challenge.

i try to build every mech to its highest potential meta. unfortunately that still leaves a lot to be desired in many cases. especially when all you got to work with are mixed hardpoints and lerm quirks.

by that token ive had a lot of "fun".

I'm on a slow goal to cross into T1 since returning 99.9% solo and in medium mechs. I switch it up and rebuild them when I get too bored with one. Currently having a bunch of fun when I drop with the Deathwish.
Also the medium assists goal, because I guess why not, at 10 per match....

Might go to brawling heavy or assault after I hit T1, the only medium I see left I'd be at all interested in is the hero Dervish - the pigeonholing quirks kind of kill a lot of interest in random mechs for me.

The game could really use some sort of "free" universal monthly battle pass or achievement system - something that just reset monthly and just gave bonus caches or something would be more interesting than what we have.

My goal in MWO is to keep my map vote multiplier as high as possible so I can take 23 and me to Alpine Peaks when it comes up.

then try and play some lurm mechs, or mixed builds. hell i love my mixed build mechs. things don't have to follow meta to be effective or even good. there are good mechs out there that people overlook just because they are geared towards mixed builds. things like MRM and AC/10 mix well (with some energy backup of course). then again i do tend to avoid mechs that don't have energy hardpoints because i hate having a mech out of ammo and unable to do anything or have a weapon with min range (LRM) and get under run.

(note-- just a small gripe on my end, so many people ***** and moan about LRM but never actually play them, in low tiers they can be devastating but at higher tiers they can be very frustrating to use, satisfying when they work but you need teamwork for that. i'm not saying you are one of these people just an observation)

yea i recently ran four of them. they were among the final 10 or so. i never run as a pure lerm boat, i like to use them aggressively paired with ppcs. its not the ones launched from the edge of the map that are the real threat. most of the players doing well with lerms are the ones fighting tooth and nail with their more midrange counterparts. calling them an aimbot like data et al is silly because most of the time i had to hit the target with a ppc to even get a lock.

exactly, i find that LRM work best for me between 400m-500m. though lately with the prevalence of long range sniper meta i have found myself using them at closer to 1000m. i tend to mix my LRMs with MLs or ER-SLs. then again i rarely ever use them on Assault mechs (i have one that uses them but its more of a mixed build with ER-LLS and MLs mixed in.). nothing gets those snipers running for cover than their computer yelling at them about incoming missiles. i laugh every time i keep a sniper pinned down behind cover unable to do anything without my missiles smacking them. (though it takes a LOT of work and investment to get it to work, the upcoming changes to IS beagle probe is gonna be nice as i will be able to tweak those builds to preform a bit better. i find they work best on more maneuverable mechs. Heavies seem to be the sweet spot for me though i have been having fun lately in my LRM Dervish-6MR and my Hunchback (those cooldown quirks for LRM on the Hunchie means i can just spew vollies of 30 Missiles very quickly.). honestly i have been spending more time in Medium mechs of late when i am usually a Heavy mech or assault guy.

one of these days i might play Clan mechs but not right now. (i also don't play lights other than the Urbie since anything moving over 100kph tends to give me a headache.)

(side note- i am note one of those that stays way in the back. i try to stay with the team as best i can. though i do have a preference for IDF fire when i can i get my own locks when need be (it seems about 50/50 if i have group that knows how to use the R key, more or less depending on the flow of the match))

i do have some lerm assaults, highlanders all. i like that it can not only pack serious tubage, but also some excellent backup weapons. my keeper has dual gauss rifles, and one of the is highlanders packs an ac20. you make up for that with their general slowness, so you really need to position well and in range of your team mates. of course a locust closing in on a lerm boat doesnt exactly tend to expect an ac20 in its loadout. many of them have paid for that mistake. the keeper can stand on its gauss rifles alone if it has to, but when i can lerm i got 50 tubes.

You own 424 of 1004 displayed 'Mech variants

By the way Moonwalker isn't appearing in our profile mechs..
