Which one is better for LPL+ML heavy laser-vomit?

I'd say TComp, for the increased range (+4% for TComp Mk I) and (small) crit bonus.
You can find the actual effects of both modules here.

I only use sensors on my lrm machines, do you think it makes a big difference?

There is a Targeting Gain Time Boost, which is 25% for BAP and 22.5% for MK1. Is it obnoticed in MechDB?

Yes, BAP boosts the sensor range, its usefull for LRM, but useless for LPL, so I am comparing the other bonuses

Just have tested it out. Targeting time is even for both.
By other params it's better sensor vs slightly better firepower.

Looks like MechDB missed that.
Anyway, that's one more point for the TC.

Long range is bad for lurms, they take too long to reach the target.
The BAP is here to counter a nearby ECM (if not, it prevents to guide the missiles).

when it comes to locking weapons remember that neither BAP nor TC does anything for you time to lock. the target gain time boost is how long it takes to get the enemy data paper doll. (if i remember there was a time when it did effect lock time gain but they nerfed the **** out of anything that helps locking weapons some years ago)

so yeah if you are going energy the TC is your best bet. if you are wanting range boost (so you can target those annoying blue laser boys a little further out) then go with the BAP.
