I couldn't find a "suggestion" section, but I thought of a fairly simple change they could make to the "Weapon Group" menu that would make life much easier.

It would make setting up a mech's weapons much easier if the "Weapon Group" menu showed "right" and "left" weapons. Instead of just "Arms" and "Torso", we could have "Right Arm", "Left Arm", "Right Torso", "Left Torso", "Center Torso", and "Head".

I know it's an old game but I figured this wasn't some massive change... so a man can dream.

It's true this weapon group menu is kinda useless... I personally always make my groups in the testing ground so I can test.
Usually, iirc, the first weapons on the list are on the left side, then right.

it kind of does. left side weapons are listed first and then right side. so if you know how many hardpoints are on the left side you can kind of figure it out. a few labels would make it a lot easier.

but if you are going to tweak the screen add chain fire toggles and some other toggles for armlock/overide/etc so i can set defaults for the build.

In MW2-4 group menu was better.

But MWO too fast game play, so just 2 buttons is what you need.

this actually does exist...... in the key binding menu just look for the toggles also the testing grounds exist for this exact reasion

what i mean is setting the defaults on a build by build basis instead of having to toggle things every match. thats different from the control bindings for toggles (which i do use). for example some builds are arms free and so i unlock the arms, others are arms locked builds, which is the default. if i load a phoenix hawk it would be nice if the arms start free, where if i spawn in a banshee having the arms would be locked since there are no guns in them. having a checkbox for that on the grouping screen would mean i dont have to remember to set things at the start of the match.

ah so that's what you meant that just set a key bind button to toggle arm lock but keep the arm lock box checked that way you have both I have the arm lock button unchecked so I can shoot uavs but I also have a button to lock my arms mid combat if I need to shoot or have a tighter torso twist
