Yes and while it looks hella cool those hitbox locations are gonna be hella vulnerable. I supposed it has some ridge poking potential.

I have to snicker how widespread the minigun type weapon (RAC in this case) spinup myth is in gaming. Miniguns do not need spin up time in real life - they fire immediately, of course.

to be fair you don't need quirks for the spin on a rac just tap a few times every 1-2 seconds and you are good to go

well they do, but were talking milliseconds. a server tick in mwo is an eon in comparison.

especially the gas powered russian guns. the ghs-6-23 for example is insane. it spins to 10k rounds a minute and can empty its ammunition supply in less than 2 seconds. it needs breaks to stop firing (otherwise it would rip itself apart).

except they heat up during spinup. sure if im using them im going to spin before exposing in most cases. but keeping it ready to go all the time, with say a macro, is not going to work.

i can understand why a ppfld weapon needs a charge mechanic, but not a dps weapon. the ramping heat is what ultimately keeps it in check and the charge time is superfluous. there is a reason you rarely see them in high level play.

The next IS legend will be the Orion-Onion Peeler. 30 MGs, +100% spread, -50% rate of fire, +500% range.

May as well just continue to meme it out.
