I haven't previously had issues with this, but in the last couple of weeks I've been disconnecting 4-5 times on first login attempts, and then 3-6 times every hour or so.
I've tried all the usual things that tech support has you do when you email them, in addition to trying various combinations of computers with wifi and wired LAN connections on different ISPs (Comcast, Verizon, whatever my work uses).
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

No disconnect issues for me.
Perhaps you can flush your DNS for prosperity?
Good luck!

If you are having trouble accessing a web page or using an online service, it may be that your device has cached an out-of-date DNS record which needs to be manually cleared or reset. Also, unplug your router/modems for 30 secs then plug back in.
Understand that the authentication server is in Canada, and that one you are always connected to. Losing that connectivity will cause you to drop out of the games.
Review and update the driver for network card, network adapter, LAN Adapter or NIC. Heat could also be an issue. Ensure the inside is clear of dust build up.
And you may also try a VPN. It will likely increase your ping some, if where your connection/pathway may be passing through a problematic router management system, and a VPN, depending on the location selected, has the potential to route your pathway away that particular system.
There is the possibility that your system's antivirus/firewall is causing the drop. If connecting from work on their ISP, what components are the same between there and home? Just the computer?

The computer isn't the same. I've tried multiple different ones at home and at work. Also at random coffee shops.

Have you check on other games which require constant internet connection ?
If yes, probably on your internet provider.
I have similar experience last year when my ISP DNS problematic, which causes login fails, and disconnected mid-game (of course with penalty bonus).
My solution was install and use the cloudflare warp app, set on 1.1.1.1 (not using WARP) so my DNS request directly to cloudflare DNS, not my problematic ISP dns, and it solve my problem. Albeit resulted rather slower ping.
Other suspect maybe your wifi router (if youre using one), since wifi-router (the relatively cheap-one, or the one from ISP) tends to be unstable when at heavy load. Get a better router usually solve this.
Or just connect it directly using LAN cable

why would it continue happening on different machines using different ISPs that have no issues with other games?

I've been having this issue since starting again a month ago or so
It's odd it has never been an issue in the past

Haven't lost connection but I've been getting some nasty lag and frame drops in game lately. My connection is solid with a ping in the 80s. My graphics card is a Gigabyte 3060 so nothing MWO has to throw at me should be causing problems.
My best guess is PGI forgot to feed some of the server hamsters.
