now that the Hatchetman is out for C-Bills i am having a bit of trouble deciding what one i want. i have narrowed it down to two of them.

the HCT-6D (thats the ECM variant, though i can't really think of a good build for it)

or the HCT-5K (the missile variant, thinking MRM040 with some MLs as backup)

any help would be great or build ideas for the 6D.

When it released for cbill, I made a video featuring builds for all variants, you may watch it if you want.

But TL;DW: of the 2 variants you selected, I'd say without hesitation HCT-5K, with MRM60. It's a great mech.
On the HCT-6D, I don't like the RAC it's quirked for, I ended with 3 LPLas. It's OK I guess.

yeah a single RAC is pretty much meh, thought about LPPCs, then ER LLs on it. think i'll go with the 5K

as for the MRM-60 build well it breaks two of my build rules. 1 no back-up energy weapons, 2 XL engine. i might see if i can jam 2 MRM-20s instead of a 40, faster fire rate lower spread. (i have been using XLs on some builds lately but its only on my LRM boats since i use indirect fire close to 50% of the time when i can (any lock is a good lock))

i am looking at two builds (going with the 5K), each is followed by its build code.

HCT-5K (1 MRM-40 (3t ammo), 3 MLs, 1 AMS (1t ammo), running an LE-210 with 2 DHS, 1 JJ and Endo)

HCT-5k (2 MRM-20 (3t ammo), 3 MLs, 1 AMS (1t ammo), running an XL-210 with 3 DHS, 1 JJ and Endo)

A5?82:_0|<d|OGpS0|i^|Y@|i^qS0|Y?|i^|f?|Y@|aOrL0|Y?sL0|Y?t[0|GP|GPu[0|GPvB0w909090

(i may have to forgo the AMS for more ammo though)

1/ You don't need back-up weapons if you have enough ammo (if necessary, you can trade a JJ for 1/2 ton). All energy weapons do is more heat and more face-time.
2/ the Hatchetman is actually pretty good at rolling damage, and pretty XL-safe. But if you want an LFE, you can.

yeah i just refuse to use any outside services, it it isn't in game or part of the official site its to much extra work (it wouldn't be bad if they would let you just post screen shots without jumping through hoops)
