So with the event giving out one hero from each class I'm wondering which ones would be best for using/abusing ppc of whatever flavor? Snubs for brawling others for mid to long range etc either IS or clan.

Manual, one of the hero Sun Spiders is good with Clan ERPPCs.

Edit: The hero Gryphons are a good choice for mediums. Ares is good with snubs and Sparky with heavies or standards.

Pride becomes a PPC poptart like any other Summoner.
There is La Malinche. Don't get La Malinche.
Hellslinger is a blast with 6 Snubs.
Skoll is fun with PPCs or PPCs+Gauss.
Black Widow is okay with PPCs and ballistics.

Pirate's Bane is the best LPPC 20 ton hero.

For dual ERPPC: Purifier is a good with the high mounts, swap an arm to get ECM, but the Firestorm and Sekhmet do it with better buffs and farily high energy mounts.

Street Cleaner has good buffs if you can handle having all your PPC on one arm.

I left off mechs with low mounted energy.

The Sparky is a good bit of fun with 6 lppc.

If you are looking for pure IS PPC-friendly Hero mechs, then above suggestions would be good!

On the other hand, for IS mechs:
~Any mech boating multiple AC5 + Light-PPC would make a pretty decent mech.
~Not as hot as 100% PPC mechs (AC5 are quite cool to shoot).
~Pinpoint alpha is pretty devastating. (The somewhat different cooldown between AC5 and LightPPC does spoil things a bit here).

Interesting choices.

So far the Sparky is looking decent especially after stacking skill nodes to reinforce the quirks.

Kinda wish it was a -10% cooldown but eh the rest are good.

grf-1e

Skoll looks interesting too.

on1-iic-sk

Already own most of the rest.

Not into gauss and that first fit certainly has better convergence. The reason I went with tc1 and cap are I like the extra sensor range as it can highlight mechs I might have visually missed.

If I was going to do gauss I fit out a bog standard stealth thanatos.

surprised no one mentioned the Ares (Griffin), 4 LPPC (no ghost heat) with room for some missiles (2 SRM-4 with the PPCs looks good more perhaps if you are comfortable with XL.)

the Belial (Uziel) can also do a 4 LPPC build (an under used chassis with a very nice paint pattern)

as for Assaults the Hellslinger (Battlemaster) does really well with 3 SN-PPC and an MRM-30 though you could probably do something with SRMs if thats your jam. (also has a bad *** paint job.)

(on more of a ha ha note i have thought of getting an Arrow (Blackjack) and loading with 3 LPPCs and 6 MGs just for the lols. but 2 ER LLs with the MGs would likely be more efficient.)

Ares is a bit of a struggle mech for me because with pure PPC it's all in those arms, and I tried LPPCs and missiles and found it pretty underwhelming. I run it with 2PPC 2LPPC at the moment, the 3SNPPC build can do work but it won't hold up in a real brawl.

I have heard that Uziels are a challenge to do well in, for that reason I am leery of Belial. Arrow will do well with 3LPPC and MG/LMG/HMG but it's probably better with LL/LMG.

I like these two builds for it. Scoot scoot and shoot shoot. Prefer the lppc one just because its extra silly, but 2 snubs and 4 ml packs a reasonable hit.

The warhammer-IIC bludgeon can rock 4 erppcs and also gets JJs unlike the rest of the WHM-IIC.
