Maybe, for some reason, there was a sudden influx of new players recently who don't know how to play... maybe due to a marketing campaign? Or are these well established players?

to be fair there is literally no reward return/progression as a reason to play the game any other time than events.

you can't earn mc currency through the only active mode and the achievement system was pretty lazily designed and then never looked at again or updated since they released it (at least that I can recall). the only two modes that had any semblance of progression or reward systems were poorly designed from the start and all but abandoned immediately after they launched them.

well yea. but people who play infrequently are not as good as people who play every day. i recently did like several weeks where i put an hour or two into the game each day. and i started getting really good. take a week off come back and i play like crap.

but yea there is a lack of progression in the game, i play pokemechs as a result. collecting and making sure everything has a minimum number of matches played on it. fp would work if you didnt need an event to get enough players to actually grind those rewards. in the last two events i was only able to move up one level, and only because it was already like 98% complete. the loot crates seldom have anything worth grinding for.

ive always wanted mc grind to be a thing outside of usual events. however those events do happen enough to make grinding for free hero mechs and other mc purchasable items totally viable. ive always considered cheevo systems as cheap alternative to gameplay actual. and this is an arena shooter so progression really isnt a thing unless you are chasing stats, tier, etc.
