Can We Get Some Light Legendries For A Change? How About Urbie Iic

7 assaults
2 heavies
1 medium
0 lights

does anyone see a problem here? there seems to be a small bias.

addendum:

i nominate the urbie iic. clantech urbie in the same way as the gausszilla. this mech is not suited for a full pack on ground that there is only 2 variants, with the same hardpoints, and one requires a hag20. so it would be a good one off for a legendary.

It's okay to be light.

No sale potential. I was suprised at the amount of legendaries in lower tiers- it's a cash shortcut to a powerful mech.

Traditionally, light mech packs sold poorly. Why risk it when they can dump 2 Annihilators that will sell/?

Only way I can see lights selling is meme mechs like Urbie IIC, or in packs of two at a time. The medium only sold because it was OP, once nerfed they are rare.

This.

Lights are the least played class by the player base.

legendries are a better value than buying mc. for the same price as 3k mc. you also get a bonused mech with unique hardpoints and a bunch of bonus items, banked premium time (by the week even), gxp, usually an extra mechbay, etc, and you still get the 3k mc. you have to grind for a day or two but you usually do that every time you buy a new mech anyway. even if you ignore the mech entirely i think the sale potential still exists. its better than possibly any package you can get.

i think an urbie or kitfox would sell quite well. given the tech swap of the annihilator they could probibly put out an urbie iic, which as far as i know doesn't have enough variants to make a pack out of it (the alternate variant just carries a hag20 and a flamer, and would have the same hardpoints). since were also hurting for mediums you could also do a blackhawk ku which is oft requested, its not a one off but its well suited to the legendary model, especially if you werent intending to do a whole pack.

I'd be more interested in a good light or medium than the big fatties.

I was almost going to buy the Scattershot and then it got nerfed hard and so I passed.

Something with butt-kicking mix of firepower and mobility with JJ's would get my attention; whether it was some manner of Urbie, or Shadowcat or Phoenix Hawk, for example.

It would be cool to see a Legendary version of one of the lesser played chassis to spark some new interest in them. Like an Enforcer, Vindicator, Spider, etc.

On the other hand, if light mechs by themselves sell poorly, why not make the Urbie IIC a reward for buying X amount of stuff, whether it be mech packs, Legendaries, MC, etc.

Good hunting,

locking stuff behind paywalls like that never goes down well

i would venture for a larger pack maybe 2 for 1 or something like that (wasp/urbie or lct/flea combos)

Sean posted on No guts No galaxy last week that Dareon had said there will not be any light legends, in his words they are not money makers.

Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but now you know.

People who are spending cash to avoid a grind want something "powerful". They don't want something with low survivability that requires skill and knowledge of game mechanics to even be average in. Hence why light packs don't sell and we are unlikely to get light legendaries.

I was surprised grinding my alt at the amount of legendaries in the low tiers. There were tier 5 matches with +6 of them. Even a full potato in a Fafnir will get some damage out before dying and have "fun". That isn't happening in a legendary Osiris.

You wanted a medium... Until it was as nerfed into "average". Now imagine a light that isn't even OP on release.

Wolfhound IIC Legendary. It exists in Tabletop Battletech, and needs to exist in MWO.

Already in the game. Just put an c-u/ac20 on one of the clanker 35ts. Kfox with uac 20 or fury with it and smls is ok.
