Change your tactics if you meet the say people again and again they will know what to expect use and abuse your JJ get into positions faster then run away keep them guessing back stabbing will only go so far

Because the game rewards sloppy, bad aim, high raw damage, and kill stealing.

Arguably, a higher pilot rating is a negative, as the MM will effectively punish you for being a good player .

Clean low damage kills are not only a better showing of how good you are as a player, but you'll also be rewarded with lower pilot rating rankings. Unfortunately its an inevitable matter of time before you end up as tier 1 and then at which point the pilot ranking is irrelevant except for bads who think that matters for some reason.

The real skill in MWO is being able to lead a successful push with inept team mates, or corral the enemy team with a light and medium to force a victory for your awful awful teammates. The light or medium forcing the enemy team to give up good positions with pressure, or working with team mates to focus fire to kill enemies fast will always have lower score board, despite that they are clearly far more experienced or better players. A dead enemy is a harmless enemy, and killing them fast with the least damage possible means no rewards.

Stat/damage farming for CBills is never something to be ashamed of if you're in need of more cash for the mechlab. So in that case take a missile boat of any flavor and laser vomit and start taking off legs and side torsos. You may not get more wins, but you'll certainly get paid. AC2/5 boating is also great as the high dps means you can shred and farm a lot of damage very fast on the sheer number of assualt mechs walking around since last patch.

This isn't true anymore after the psr changes of yore and the great psr reset. Before then psr was basically an accumulative stat and any potato could ~eventually~ get to tier 1. Now it punishes bad play so in tier 1 there are no 'bads' just a spectrum of above average players from decent to world class. It's just that the world class level players make the decent ones look 'bad'.

How can you translate that into a number to be used for PSR though. How do you quantify and measure those kinds of fuzzy actions? Even to human observers, determining how valuable those actions were is going to be very subjective and debatable in most cases.

Did your actions contribute to the match? Sure. Were they heavily responsible for the win? Who knows? And say this time it was the difference between winning and losing, but what about next time? There's no good way to assign a value to those kinds of behaviors. It can't be consistently measured for any given player in any given match.

Triple lppc spider d can put in some work though the weapon arm is weak so you have to deadside twist to protect it. The rest are meh unless you have some serious spider parkour skills. We need a paper napkin design non lore spider added in that has some side torso energy mounts.

SDR-5K can do wonders and also die very fast but if you can pull it off its rewarding as hell i expect to get kicked down to tier 4 soon

sdr-5k Something like this can be stupidly annoying and dangerous, should do twice or triple the damage OP did pretty easily.

As long as you protect that weapon arm the 5d is still the superior lppc slinger and ecm goes a long way to not getting shot at to begin with.

If it weren't for me the long range wouldn't have been hiding and having to reposition from me shooting them in the back.

why does the game say i did bad doing 200 damage in a light?

Simple.....because you did....damage done is not weight dependent since at least 5-6 years....so wake up and don't try to find justifications for scoring low...you scored low? You deserve to go down in rating skills.

let psr do as psr does. you will end up in better games in the long run.

been bubbling back to t3 for some time now, having to level mechs again is probibly to blame. especially the last couple months i had to level at least a dozen from scratch, during an event where everyone is playing dumb. most builds dont start to shine until you get about 60 nodes, and thats assuming they were not bad mechs to begin with. if game sees fit to make me t3, so be it. i can farm headshots down there.
