The use of it in Quickplay has really exploded in the last 6 weeks. The streamer DATA is posting how to do it and other Vis-mods really often. Personally I think it kinda sucks, but what ya gonna do?

Its mostly a gamma booster, and sharpens textures/outlines of all in game geometry,

Also, most comp players set all the eyecandy to minimal to max out their FPS, and give them better visual clarity instead of things looking realistic, it makes the game look like its in 16 bit colors.

That is how comp players do things, anything they think will give them an edge over or equal to other comp players.

They crunch the math, define what is META and use it to their advantage because they can, and that is how they want it.

WInning is winning doesn't matter if its an inch or by mile, and losing is pain and suffering to their EGO.

Same people with the mentality that cheating is ok, as long as you don't get caught.

Not all are this way, but for the most part this is what competitive play is, regardless of the game.

I wouldn't generalize like that... I consider myself as a comp player even though I haven't played serious comp since start of maintenance mode and I very much consider this reshade BS cheat almost comparable to wallhack. People simply see stuff they are not supposed to see by game design.

It's pure cheating. When you change inclient video settings - you receive maybe 20-30% better view. But when I saw in discord reshade - it just different game!

So this reshade inverts shadows/textures via gamma, lighting effects and gives mech a glow like effect roughly speaking, unfortunately not really enforceable (people pointing out its client side only)unless you like your MWO folder scanned every time you boot up for edited files

There's a built in reshade in most nvidia cards these days, it makes the game look less muddy, less brown, and better to look at while using your GPU.

Reshade for MWO isn't some miracle worker to enable advantages, in fact, most people complaining about being demolished have no awareness how badly they were outplayed and outshot. The game already has built in wallhacks with target spotted, and turning UP the graphics actually lets terrain render properly, so the amount of misinformation going around is quite frankly, hilarious, and just a big cope.

Champion Series is just a scam by the same player groups using ALT accounts under different names Regular players hoping to win get blown away every year like 12-0,12-1 ETC. These are the same Faction groups doing the same thing they did in faction play that ruined that game mode with 3rd party software addons ECT.

I'm not going to say the H word but it's true. What they should do is set it up on a clean LAN Server with no way to use any 3rd party software like MWO is a stock version and not 1 bit can be altered, or it dumps you off the server in game play so your basically useless to your team unless you uninstall and reinstall a clean MWO copy of files.

Unless you can get green models on a non textued background like Quake players used to do their configs, this isn't much of an advantage at all, just turn graphics down and you got the same thing going.

Its not hard to differentiate models from background, and MWO is a sloooow as* game to begin with.

No, it doesn't make mechs glow...At all... Dudes are acting like reshade is the ******* VISR from Halo 3 ODST but it is literally just a color filter. I don't use if because I like the games colors and couldn't care less about changing them but this post is hilariously misinformed. Some games it can be unfair when stealth in dark areas is a big thing but were fighting in mechs for crying out loud. Unless you mean on his actual streams D's last post about reshade is from over a year ago. What makes you think it has 'exploded' in the last six weeks? It isn't like people in QP are talking non stop about how it helped them finally get laid. I seriously doubt anyone not already using it is suddenly flocking to it. MAYBE for Scrap Yard since people seem to be scared of the dark but its use still wouldn't have 'exploded'....
