In the current game, the option of a lock-on weapon is almost a penalty in itself.
In direct fire situations where you have the enemy in your line of sight, you should be able to skip the lock-on and fire immediately.
Even in direct fire, the intermediate step of lock-on is a horrible penalty for looking at the enemy and getting hit by all of their attacks.
Atm, of course, would have no complaints. The missile doesn't fly in a curve like it does when indirectly firing the LRM.
I understand the nerf to LRM's indirect fire.
But why should direct fire, where you look the enemy in the eye and shoot, have this penalty? Why use laser, ppc, or gauss when laser is better?
Is there a reason to use Lrm?

The biggest problem is that the top users who are tied to the cauldron love medium to long range weapons like erll. Pgi needs to filter out the input from the cauldron.

When you match cauldron users, they all go for the hills, regardless of machine class.
In a good way, that means they're good at using maps. In a bad way, they only use PPC, ERLL, and Gauss weapons because they are comfortable and know they are powerful.
Cauldron does not play as a brawler using AC, LBX, SRM weapons.

If you observe Cauldron, he loves PPFLD and long range weapons, but hates LRM.
That's because they get pissed off when they get hit by missiles while sniping.(hahahaha)
To compensate for the cauldron's whining, PGI drew a bunch of giant mushrooms on the purple map.

As the top players favored a certain meta, the game became an overarmed one-shot meta. Other players followed suit, and the game naturally became this way.

Name 10 Cauldron members.
