I just bought the war lord pack, but dont seem to have any of the extras, badges, war horns, MC, premium time etc. Do I have to unlock these somehow?

You unlock the bonus by gaining XP, and redeeming it on this page.

It's the site store, where you can purchase the mech (I suppose you got yours on Steam). Just click on the "store" tab at the top, and you'll have access to all the mech-packs.
edit: I went to see the Steam page, and they could explain it better... they only say "You can track your progress on the Legends DLC Page on the MechWarrior Online Website" without any link or anything ; I'm sure a lot of people miss on the bonus completely :/

Another fun fact that doesn't seem to be published anywhere is that these legendary mechs can only accept the bolt-ons that come in the battlepass- so your Warlord will not be able to equip any other Atlas-chassis bolt-ons- and the bolt-ons that come a Legendary mech can not be equipped on any other variant of that chassis.
It seems arbitrary, but the bolt-ons see the legendary mechs as a distinct chassis.
Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying. Caveat Emptor.
(At least, this was my experience with the War Emu. I assume the others work the same but could be wrong. Arbitrary decisions get made all the time.)

Your assumption is correct, it's the same on all the legendary mechs.

I wish there's a MC way to pay for bolt-ons to be used across a chassis...
for example, the BAS-E(S) faux-gold-egyptian bolt-on could be used on other Blood Asp Variants!
(Sort of like a Unlockable vs One-Shot Unlock of Camo, except this is Bolt-On for Blood Asp variants)
Ditto for the Legendary mechs... would love the MoonWalker Bolt-On for the rest of my MCII chassis variants...

its just in the store on the purchase page. seems counter intuitive especially if you bought it on steam.

My understanding is that "normal" bolt-ons are chassis specific, but once purchased a player owns a set and they can be installed on any mech of that chassis (regardless of variant).
Since the legendary bolt-ons can only be purchased with actual money (as opposed to MC that could be won in events, etc), it seems a touch unfair that their use is so limited.
In the same way, if a player spends actual money to get a legendary mech it seems shabby that they cannot customize that mech using other bolt-ons.
Especially since this seems to be an arbitrary permission setting. Why not just open the gate, and allow Legendary mech owners the freedom to use whatever bolt-ons they have purchased (including the ones included with their legendary mech) however they want?
I'm not a programmer, but I know that this isn't asking for the moon. A workaround has already been demonstrated in the case of the Arges, which was granted permission to install the regular Cyclops "glowing eye" bolt-on after certain players requested it.
Am I missing something?
