Hello! If this is currently a topic, I did not see it. I have compiled a chronological reading order(ish) of the BattleTech fiction. I have deliberately left out Far Country for well-known lore reasons. I have not read all of these books, but I am working on it. If I have left anything out (BESIDES FAR COUNTRY) Please let me know so I can update my list. Please keep any discussion civil as I am sure there are others who would like to read these books as well. Side note, most look like they are available on kindle but Sword & Dagger, Blood of heroes, Bred for War, Star Lord, Hearts of Chaos, Black Dragon, and Prince of Havoc are not.

nice, there are a LOT of great Battletech books (and even a so bad its funny TV series from way back when.) sadly most of the books are very hard to find these days especially if you are after Audiobooks as many never did get one. still they are wel worth a read/listen. (i think there are a few on Audible but find that service a rip-off so don't bother.)

Battletech Lore is long and incredibly well done for the most part. People always ask 'where the aliens are' but Battletech is a story, in general, about the worst thing for humanity.... is humanity and nothing can do anything worse to us than we already do.

Good points. I used to watch the TV show when I was a kid on Sunday mornings. Well growing up I have read a good chunk of the books before dark age but never in any order normally what I could get available at the library so I'm trying to go through as an adult and get a bigger picture. I have found all of them listed except the ones in the paragraph description available on Kindle most for five bucks or under not bad for older books.

i think im up to heir to the dragon or whatever. i read slow and there are few audio books. also some of the people i live with make it difficult to concentrate.

I'm currently watching the entire series of videos done by Sven van der plank on youtube, it covers the entire history, the politics, assassinations, political intrigue, troop movements etc, its really well done and I'm enjoying it a lot.

The Sven videos are fantastic. Tex is great, I have watched his videos multiple times. He even makes sure to include the clanners in his audience (if somewhat sardonically).
