I keep noticing that when I join the faction queue around 2/3 and then the queue gets to 13+/13+ I'll be the one person who doesn't launch. Why is it not first come first serve? Seems really unfair.

Just happened again! I joined at 4/4 and the queue got up to 25/25 and I didn't launch in the first group. Am I missing something here? Starting to understand why no one plays FP. Just trying to get my 12 matches reward and be done with it.

Go watch data video about to "mm". It will throw in groups first.

While U ar at it, best read yondu fp guide. Without and fully skilled (range), with range quirks extreme range deck (TC good option) U will struggle in fp.

So bring friends
Bring skill
Bring proper load outs.

U can leave one of these points, but be warned. And just expect to loose 20 out of 20 because the different play style and no mm.

Yes, FP's MM prioritise groups. If a group to large to fit then pick from solos. Sudden jump in numbers mean large groups, in FP premades of 8 are common. I know how hard to get into a match as a solo player. On weekends it's easier (or if there is dedicated FP-events what rare sadly).

And just as Ignatius said: FP is not like QP. No tier-based mm (what barely works in QP aswell). Most players are T3 or above and usually know the whole maps by heart, memorised them mostly. You will see that when you got shot from places you previously never knew to exists.

Has at least TWO drop decks. One for long-range disco-ray laser-show (or PPC... or Gauss,,, Whatever over 1100+ m). One for the rare cases of city engagements where faster cooldown but shorter range could be more usefull. If your mechs skilled it could help a lot.

And FP is fun. Trully the best part of the whole MWO. I just hate my country still set clock there and back seasonally. During summertime it were enough to join the queue around 21.00 pm (CET) to get a match within 20-40 mins. Now I know I must join around 22:30 for the same result but that is just to late for meee...

Damn, I want to play FP again in sane time!
PGI FP EVENT RIGHT NOOOWWW!!!
