So, anyone agreed that Mad-IIC is good again?

Back when it released, IIRC, it was before mobility desync, before cauldron, and how it was before is that it obsoleted Warhawk. And after a while of hamfisted balance approach later, it became sluggish and hard to pilot. Yeah, still good, on account of clan-tech, but a major meh, a slog to play.

Went back to Mad-IIC last night, the good'ol laser-vomit, at XL400 with 6x ERML and 2x LPL, all the DHS and one smattering TC1; fast and agile, a powerful poke, it was like PGI never happened, must be a dream.

What do you think? MAD-IIC back at it's prime?

Again? It has never been anything else than one of the best Vomit mechs in the game and nothings gonna change that.

I run mine with something like this other pretty good mad-iic

There's a reason the base variant has no quirks at all. IMO it's one of the best mechs in the game. The heroes are good, IIC, IIC-2, IIC-8 and IIC-D are all great. Rest are a bit meh in comparison but I've found good builds for all of them. Just don't strip your head armor. I don't remember dying much to headshots but the head is quite centre mass and large.

I used the Christmas MAD-IIC-A(S) Marauder IIC during the last FP event and the 'Mech worked for me well.

It was a relly nice free Christmas 'Mech.

It had. They were removed from MAD-IIC, IIC-2, IIC-8 and Dreadnought never had them.

My one runs with 4xER-LLs + UAC10. Pretty solid just the UAC tends to jam after the very first shot...
