Simple Request For More Map Playability.

Make semi random drop points, and objective locations.

While waiting for drop, the shot callers will not be able to call the map, they will need to wait until the match starts and check the map and make dynamic changes to the plan.

Underutilized areas of the maps will become useful.

Discuss.

For example, start blue team in grid A1, red team in grid J10, the domination point will be in A10, both teams will be forced to converge from extreme north and east, with the objective in the south west corner of the map.

Make the spawn and objective points semi random (maybe 5 different objective locations, and 10 different drop points).

Every game mode can benefit from this.

Im pretty sure the spawn points are baked in to the maps. I wouldnt mind a few duplicate maps with different spawn points

I'm guessing this is the case as well for as long as we've requested randomized spawns. They do have different spawns based on game mode on some maps, so at least there's that, but the maps weren't really designed to have more than two inital spawn points either. I'm not sure what the map design philosophy is, but there doesn't seem to be one for some maps.

So make duplicate maps with altered spawn points for each duplicate, PGI has recently changed some spawn points, so the ability to do so is not Lostech.

There are very interesting features in all maps (especially the bigger ones) and they are not being utilized, this one simple change can make a lot of difference and enhance gameplay quality considerably.

I played a game on Alpine recently where the entire battle happened in the extreme south of the map, it was fun and unique, a refreshing change from just slugging it out at the hinge with whoever got the SW side of the hinge losing...

Would be interesting to have Conquest and Assault with semi random cap locations as well.

And to make things more interesting, have them not show up on the map until they are "discovered" by each team, via standing in the cap zone.

This would also give a critical role for lights and fast mediums on the bigger maps, to go out and find the cap points, especially on larger maps.

It would also encourage communication and teamwork.

static maps have been a long time pet peeve of mine. makes the game feel less lived in. even doom maps had more going for them. everything is set in stone. which means you can just memorize all points of interest. so maps play out the same way most of the time. having a few pre-defined layouts would be an improvement. but thats still '90s technology.

It would be nice to see a more elegant solution but acceptable so long as the duplicate file size isn't unreasonable. If they're going to duplicate a map, I'd actually like to see other visual changes, like biome or time of day as well. It would still play the same, but be visually different at least.
