both were the same: team just walking somewhere and dont shoot, debating and arguing what should be done
I just returned so it was refreshing
So first antistomp medicine - stay on start place and shoot all

Enemies in front of us, 3 to be exact. Not assaults.
I engage, expecting my lancemates to also engage.
Long story short. I get destroyed, while I see on my radar that the my 2 other assault lance mates are running with their tails tucked between their legs. They didn't even fire a shot from what I could tell. Btw they were a Madcat deathstrike and a Bloodasp of some sort. I was in a Maurader IIC Scorch.

You have just described absolutely normal situation that happens in the Quick Play queue every day.

sometimes you just get ****** matches like that.
i haven't seen anything about them having done any MM changes but i wouldn't put it past PGI giving groups priority right now since the whole comp thing is going on.

My bigger issues with QP are things like a team with 8 assaults being dropping onto a large map in conquest mode....and timid gameplay. OMG the timid gameplay makes my brain hurt....so many people trying to hide their way to victory...but just actually assuring their team of defeat.
Not sure the matchmaker can fix that...maybe some better tutorials early on in-game? Something showing how an entire assault lance camped out at the out-of-bounds boundary, doing nothing but sit-and-snipe is a great waste of tonnage and just a slow, lazy way to die.

Exactly this. If you're not running with people you know and can work with 95% of the time at the sight of a single blue laser assaults turn and run. I don't get it. Today was a masterclass in 'how to screw your team' because all but one possibly two of the teams assaults (usually at least 5 in a drop these days) along with plenty of heavies post up somewhere, bust out the camp fire and DON'T MOVE to react to any sort of call.
Enemy team does an 8 man flank while 4 are trading to distract... nah fam, they're working on trading with those four rather than backing up the single lance trying to fend off the steamroller and they competely ignore comms and calls. Meanwhile the opposing team that somehow managed to get like 8 comp muderhobo assassins in a single drop dances on your corpse.

This mainly effect tier 1 solo drops and to a lesser extent tier 2 because they are the smallest percentage of the server pop. There is more than enough pop at the lower tiers to get reasonably fast mm. Tier 1 solo drops are taking aaaggggeeessss...
