Newbie question, should not be asking this!

So I'm in a 100% laser vomit mech like the Timberwolf or the Hellbringer.

I'm at 95% of my heat capacity, according to my cockpit indicator.

Q: I fire off full alpha at enemy mech. Obviously I shut down halfway through my laser alpha vomit.
==>But would my mech fire off the full laser vomit, or
==>Would my mech only fire off half of my laser vomit even during thermal shutdown?

(The reason I'm asking this is, in my computer (client-side), I see my laser vomit going off "until it ends" even while my mech is already in thermal shutdown).

exactly (as for Override remember that yes you get to complete that shot but you also risk damaging yourself in the process)
