Gorewing is great with jj and 2 hag30. Blight. Eh. You get a ballistics torso on each side and enough space to put three ac2 in the head and ct. If you like marauders then this is your mech. But otherwise nothing special.

Using the engine that it comes with, Blight can comfortably carry 2 AC/5 + 3 AC/2. Or, 2 AC/20 + 1 SNPPC. Or possibly, 2 RAC/5 + 3 LMG + 2 Med Lasers. That being said, I still think that the 3R is the superior ballistic Marauder.

the Blight brings an interesting thing to the table: a marauder that only needs to expose the top 1/10th or so of its torso(s) to bring two big ballistics to bear. Sure you lose the extra-tough Right Torso and empty left torso of the 3R, but the gains in potential safe-DPS is attractive to say the least.

Unfortunately yes.

Gorewing can do some nice builds, but 1/ it's slow (255 engine cap) and 2/ most of the time other Veagles can do it the same or even better (for example double HAG30 is nice on paper, but the convergence of the arm mounted weapons is pretty bad compared to a similar build on the Vapor Eagle-1).

Blight propose interesting (ie unique) hardpoints, but most of them limited to smaller ballistics. I'm not really a heavy pilot though, maybe I'm missing something. The only build I enjoyed and found had a real impact is the double heavy gauss.

2x RAC2 + 3x AC2 or 2x UAC2 + 3x AC2 would have been by go-to.

But I honestly don't want to shell out anymore than the Urbie-IIC. Already spent the money I don't have (technically I do, but I shouldn't have).

i completed the gorewing battlepass in 3 or 4 games. just running a pair of hag20s and 5 er smalls.

the blight is ok for a dual ballistic maurader. most mechs that can carry a pair of uac10s are workable, but i dont think there are any quirks for it, so it might be better off with dual gauss, dual hgauss, or 5 ac2s.

also whats up with mech stats, neither mech is showing up and i cant update my spreadsheets.

Hero versions (soon to be available for MC) of the Legendary Mechs might be on MC sale about 6 months after these are available for MC.

Witness the Crusader Crael which recently had its first MC sale, also about 6 months after these are available for MC.

I bought the Atlas Warlord Legendary mech (2xLBX20 +2xSNPPC) because I was one of those asking for dual LT/RT ballistic Atlas.
Thank you MWO!!

Fitting the 2nd SNPPC into the *head* was a masterstroke!
(Still somewhat upset it has no AMS hardpoint, with Longbow/LRM buff upcoming…)

My bad, this is just my own person GUESS.

I don’t even listen to the Cauldron discussions at all.

Pretty sure the last thing cauldron is going to buff are lrm in a general sense. Quirking a few mechs to specialize in lrm? Sure. But not as a general weapon you slap on any mech. Longbow will most likely have very strong lrm quirks.

Ran Blight with 2 RAC5, 3HMG, 2ERML, LFE300, 4 DHS, 5.5 tons RAC5 Ammo, 1.5 tons HMG Ammo, Endo.

Wow...

Those high mounts are great. 1000+ points of Damage in one match with 4 Kills and 3 KMDD (2 solos). Once you have the advantage on someone and something opens up you close with the RACS blazing to HMG range and rip them apart. The thing has zero quirks other than some structure buffs but with the skills loaded up it is a beast.

Yup, Blight's high mounts are wonderful. otherwise the 3R is better.

Gorewing impresses me for having a very serviceable build right out of the box. Can't just swap out the LBX for HAG because of the difference in ammo consumption, but otherwise very nice.

That's basically the build I'm think of also!

The other is to boat AC5 + LightPPC.
FYI, any mech with 5-6 combo of AC5+LightPPC is potent!

FNR-J (6xAC5) or FNR-5 (4xAC5 + 2xLight PPC)
ANH-2A with 6xAC5 (or 5xAC5 + LightPPC)
DWF-C with 6xAC5

I would suspect that Blight with 3xAC5 + 2xLightPPC might be good too!

That is impossible though as you do not have enough space for three AC5s. One in each side torso works but you have two spaces in the CT and one in the Head, not enough for an AC5.

Now you can do 5 AC2 which puts out about 10 points of damage every 0.75 sec out to 800+ m. You can also put them all into two groups, set each group to chain fire, then fire both groups together. They ripple fire nicely.

I remember someone in the discord I hang out at said one of the mechs (can't remember which) can torso twist 360 degrees, which is an interesting addition. If it's the Blight, I might pick that mech up next time I'm feeling up for another Legendary.

It's Gorewing that gets the 360 twist. Blight gets advanced zoom without needing the skill.
