Might be able to give that mode a lease of (brief) life or at least have ppl focus on the objectives and see how it plays out as originally intended...

I also would like to say tip of the hat for the event queues of late. The faction one was amazing. I love the 2v2-4v4 size, because it kind of brings back some of the joy that was solaris. God do I miss solaris. I kind of wish a standalone solaris game was made, that included some of the weird solaris stuff seen in tabletop (chains and drills and weird janky mechs). That said, the events really help keep the game from feeling stale. One game mode (let's be honest...FP isn't really there) can feel really limiting.
Edit: I honestly would love to see a 3v3 inner sphere heavy queue or another medium queue. The mediums too often get overlooked.

Yakety Sax
-4v4
-Lights only
-Conquest
-You can pick the map, a small/medium one like Canyon Network would make it chaotic
-Negative 99% weapon damage
-Plus 100% capture rate
-Possibly 150% speed
-10 minute match time
The idea being that this would be a super fun opportunity to try for an almost pure objective game/win. Sounds fun to at least try out for a few hours!
Edit: For more chaos, +300% strike damage, spread, and duration would be interesting to see lol, to drive people off points.

With 150% speed, I can see people purposefully ramming enemy mechs at full speed just to see if they can get some damage on the board.
While I like the idea (if the Yakety Sax song was actually playing, but even then), I think a 12 hour span of this would get boring very quickly.

I think the main issue with Incursion with Drop Decks is that the defenders have a much larger HP resource to deplete than the base does. This looks like it's more efficient (win-wise) to just plow into the enemy base with fast mechs, ignore defenders, and wipe the base. And if both teams are running this strat, it turns into PvE base race which many players would rather avoid.
Speaking of winning through non-Skirmish objectives, getting Conquest in FP is fun. The cap control is far more important and probably the way rounds end, but unlike Incursion the objectives incite teams to interact with each other. Maybe run Conquest with drop decks but do something goofy like increasing top speed?
We've seen Assault EQ with increased speed. Could we get that for lighter weight categories? 4v4 lights on one of the test maps with +25% top speed could be silly.
I know there was also an EQ a while back with no heat and infinite ammo that resulted in rocket launchers everywhere. Having one at a time would be fun.
Is it possible to do a heat dissipation modifier? I'd like to see the loadouts that result from 8v8 with +150% heat dissipation.
Others interesting modifiers are range and cooldown. Are those possible? What would we see if every weapon for every mech had +50% optimal range or -30% cooldown? We could turn EQ into a testing ground for extreme weapon changes. It'd be even more wild if it could modify volley speed (like MRMs or Clan ACs) and burn duration.

It's Atlas, Awesome, Catapult, Dragon, Hunchback, Centurion, Jenner, Commando.
Event with STD builds. (IS only)
"With clans separately"
And it's funny to see LRM event
8v8
(Only LRM weapons, +100% LRM velocity, no radar deprivation, Target gain boost +50%)

Domination on the smaller maps, conquest on the larger maps

Maybe 30% less heat dissipation (round about way of doing SHS without requiring modifying existing setups too much)
Bring back Beta style for a bit, I'd even be happy with IS Only

Alternative with Fafnirs would work better since its a trial mech but would love some Anni action.
But for sales Heavy sale is more important.

Personally, I would really appreciate seeing sales on the following:
- all Hero mechs, including the Legendaries available for MC
- all Heavy mechs
- cosmetics: colors/patterns/cockpit items/bolt-ons
- possible idea: rotating sales on all weight classes per event or day to encourage everyone to fill up their discounted mechbays.
For events, I typically enjoy grouping up with others, so ideally some events allow at least two-man drops.
Some quick event queue ideas I can think of:
- Limiting it to a specific mech chassis everyone needs to bring. Kinda similar to Urbie Derby, everyone is in the same mech & encourages people to either try a new chassis or hone builds for it
- Limiting it to only certain groups of weapons (only laservom/gauss/ballastic builds)
- Game modes or conditions that make it easy for me to farm crazy c-bills (extra armor=extra c-bills farmed!)
- Very quick matches on Solaris maps with increased cooldown, armor, and speed
- It'd be hilarious to have an Assault-only mode with everything increased (speed+mobility) so it feels like you're in a light-duel
- Or the other side of the coin, Lights-only mode with increased armor+damage but limited mobility on a small map so it feels like you're an Assault/Urbie.
- Creative game modes that hopefully don't require extra effort to implement like: dodgeball/duckhunting-esque fights, everyone is slow+only PPC/Gauss to eliminate the mech across the map
