**Update: Fresh install indeed fixed the issue, if you are experiencing crashes like me: Simply reinstall the game, hotfix application can apparently corrupt the files and verification does not (yet) fix the issue. Glad to able to play again
**
Unlike seemingly the majority of you, I have crashed upon every attempt to get into a match since this hotfix has been applied.
It crashes during the loading of the match, I have verified my files, made sure CPU cores and RAM was plenty available through some helpful software, but alas. I will try reinstalling the game as I am pretty sure verification of files is not exactly rigorous when it comes to freshly patched games.
This is what I found in the error log of my most recent attempt (I get abandon status over this, so I'm not eager to keep trying over and over):
<22:03:43> STEAM: No installed DLC apps found
<22:06:13> [Error] <Flash> Import error: GFxResource 'mcSelectionIndicatorOFF' is not exported from movie '..\UISelectionIndicator.swf' [221.0968]
<22:06:13> [Error] <Flash> Import error: GFxResource 'mcSelectionIndicatorON' is not exported from movie '..\UISelectionIndicator.swf' [221.0968]
<22:06:13> [Error] <Flash> Import error: GFxResource 'UILabelCCW' is not exported from movie '.\UILabel.swf' [221.3301]
<22:14:06> Logging user out due user action

<22:14:07> UnLoadLevel End: 0.4 sec

<22:14:07> System Shutdown

DXInput Shutdown
So I suspect a re-install will fix this, as a verify already should but like mentioned before, hotfix - verification synchronization is not exactly a thing, typically verification compares and adheres to the latest stable release.
Will keep you lot posted, hope I'm one of the few or only one experiencing this.
But please don't bother with a 5-step typical troubleshoot non-sense reply, I am quite familiar with sorting out this type of issue and a failed file import leading to a runaway thread (My CPU gets locked up entirely due to the crash as well, quite annoying as it requires hard-resetting) is anything but a typical issue, but might be simply unfortunate combination of factors.
So no hard feelings towards the dev team, but no interest in Joe Schmucks fix-a-madoodle either.
Technical solutions/suggestions/discussion I am open to and encourage, NOT troubleshoot fixes.
