The new map is horrible
It's fine if we would all be using our Light mechs but several mechs can either look/shoot over the huge buildings/planes/etc. that are blocking their path or can't see a damn thing!
Another issue is contrast : Black Black Black and Black again!
This causes the issue that most mechs can't be seen when they are standing in front of one of the many black colored objects or better said their background consists or black colored objects
It's basically the "Purple Rain" map all over again when it comes to visibility!
It would have been a great map for some RTS game where it's your base that you start out with but IMHO it simply does not work well for MWO !!!
Sorry...

Using alternate vision modes can be useful in some areas of the map.
Not really, because it's basically the same thing like activating them on the Frozen City maps :
- Night Vision = Too bright areas.
- Heat Vision = Too dark ares.
And both shorten the distance at which you can see other mechs heavily

You can switch between them as needed.

Just like Solaris City you can get stuck in the wall of some of the buildings (the ramps on this map)

Dude I know, but the point is that it doesn't help at all

you can do it on any map i got stuck in Vitric station.... and river city.
My beef with Vitric is that there are spots where you CAN'T hide for cover !!
But I see that my initial post has been moved to this seperate topic in the sub-forum of Bearclaw II so maybe I should start one in the sub-forum of Vitric Station too... LOL!
