Is Scouting a mode the EQ can run? If yes, PLEASE.
If not, how about an approximation through Conquest 4v4 with lights and mediums only (no drop decks)?

Well said, groups of 1-2, in a 10v10 you should have no problem with a 4 man group added vs 3, could maybe even do a limit of 3 man group in 8v8. Would be nice to see a larger rotation of maps like

emerald vale is always great
forest colony
crimson strait
solaris city even

Just something with some realistic scenery, that isn't grey or drab.

1) a fixed deck event where all the teams are playing the same deck.
2)a event done by class rather than tonnage, ie all Assaults
3) something similar to a Grand Melee where multiple 2 man teams fight

Usually I would ask for battle royale queue event but that would be akin to ask for magic to be a thing...and then combine it with technology.

So glad this is back!!

Generally I think it's best to have mostly normal, no-modifier games. Here are things I would request:

1. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 6v6, 8v8 no drop decks, no mech restrictions, domination, conquest, or skirmish. Any map is fine.
2. The above, but limited to light/medium/heavy/assault mechs.
3. The above, but limited to only clan or only IS mechs.
4. The above, but limited to only JJ-capable mechs or non-JJ-capable mechs.
5. 4v4 or 6v6 drop decks, no min or max tonnage. Any map. Domination or skirmish only.

I request we NOT do:
- Armor modifiers
- Unlimited ammo
- Single-mech restrictions other than Urbie Derby
- Too many 8v8 drop deck matches. The matchmaking is just too slow on these.
- Drop deck conquest. The timer is too fast.

There was an event a while back 12 v 12 with unlimited ammo, and no overheating, 50% more armor and assaults only. You could fire 5 RAC5 and no overheating, but the most insane was the rockets maruader 2 with 360dmg alpha. I managed one match where I scored more than 3k damage. It was very entertaining!

Mediums
Mining Collective
Skirmish/Domination

6v6
Heavies
Canyon Network
Domination

1v1, 2v2, 3v3
Mediums/Heavies/Assault (not mixed)
Any of the solaris maps
Skirmish

Preferably no groups for all of these to help keep the matches more balanced and less stompy.

I want stock build only queue. mostly because I want all these new players to understand how hard it was to play this game when the top tier alpha was like, 35 damage. :)
Alternatively, give me a queue by year- something like, 3048 and earlier technology only. single heat sinks, no ER, no RAC, UAC, Gauss, so on. Let's go back to the days where an AC20 meant something and time to kill was 3x higher. a 300 damage game was godlike before the clans and all the boating/omnipods/double heatsinks.
