- I really like drop-decks that allow for use of all tonnage classes. But I don’t think mixed tonnage drop-decks should have modifiers like increased speed or armor because the disparity between tonnage classes creates a problematic dynamic.
- For specific tonnage class drop-decks, I prefer Assaults-only, Heavies-only, and Mediums-only.
- Lights-only drop-decks can be kind of miserable because streak volleys can one-shot some Light mechs. However, I did like lights-only events with increased armor because it increased survivability against streak-boating Lights.
- Increased armor modifiers work well for all tonnage-specific games, drop-deck or not.
- Increased speed modifiers don’t work well when it comes to Light and Medium mechs simply because some go too fast and mess with hit-reg.
- I don’t think chassis-specific games are necessarily bad, but not everyone has a certain chassis so it can lead to longer queue times.
- Of course, there’s the infamous Urbie Derby which I feel tends to get boring after a few matches, however some people absolutely love to play it. I don’t think it’s a problem to run it, but please don’t over-spam it.
- I think the max heat dissipation modifier absolutely needs to be paired with increased armor. Why? Because you can do giga-delete builds. Max heat dissipation events also present another issue where it requires an understanding of HSL groups and their heat values to make previously mentioned giga-delete builds. Considering the Event Queue is open tiers, I don’t think many lower-tier players have an idea of making optimal builds for this modifier.
- The Assault game mode is probably the worst for a drop-deck game, even for a non-drop-deck games. There’s been instances where a group of cap spiders capped out a base in a couple minutes while everyone else was engaging. Not fun anyone, just a waste of time to queue up for that.
- Similarly, if you don’t have FP tickets for Domination or Conquest drop-deck, there’s really no point to have drop-decks on some maps (small maps like Vitric being the exception)
- I hope they get FP tickets for drop-deck Conquest! It’s so fun! With regular tickets you’d be hard-pressed to use anything more than two mechs in a drop-deck mode (without throwing).

Maps HPG Emerald Vale or canyon with greatly increased projectile velocity something like double velocity for ballistic weapons maybe.
And also one with something like -80% cooldown something like that old -1000% cooldown quickdraw thing but for every weapon.
