If we are eligible for receiving an event mech such as the Duncan Fisher do we have to have a free mech bay or will it just auto unlock or cannot receive if mech bays are maxed out? Same question for other event mech's such as claiming rewards does it auto unlock or do we need to purchase/earn a mech bay before we can get it?

To my recollection, every time they've ever handed out a free mech it comes with a bonus mech bay to put it in. So you don't have to have a mech bay open to receive the free one.

The free mech either comes with a free mechbay or doesn't need a mechbay at all. In the last case, you won't be able to sell the mech regularly. In anyway, a free mech does not require you to have a free mechbay.

Even with that said, Mechs are on sale for 150 MC. Best to get them when you can, to have extras for when other mechs go on sale that do not come with their own mechbays.
