In my opinion guided weapons are not especially useful in MWO right now. I am not sure if nerfing them even further would be a good idea.

Its still development that isn't geometry or spreadsheets. They would have to pull a developer off of MW5: Clans. They're not going to do that.

I mean it's cool that you think that but for one, like Scraplron Prime said, they aren't going to pull resources off something that is giving them much better returns, but two, unless you have deep knowledge of the code base, making those kind of assumptions only makes yourself look bad.

If you get LRMd to death by indirect fire point blank it's a skill issue. Get under cover. Its not hard.

You completely missed the point. I'm guessing your not used to thinking outside the box. In any regard, the big problem is shared lock on due to lrm being the only weapon where your team can do your work for you, apart from pulling the trigger. But please by all means tell me its fine and balanced.

This sounds almost like you are saying in essence that "LRMs are OP" due to the ability to gain locks from others observations. Is that what you are saying? If not, please explain. If it is what you are saying, I think you are very much wrong, but would still like to see you explain further and provide evidence of their OP-ness.

I love the phrase OP-ness
Does the game work with lrm the way they are now? yes.
Do they have to change them? no.
Do lrm feel good to use. Not at all.
It feels wrong to have the rest of the team holding locks for other players, apart from narc, tag, uav.

After 3 days of using LRM boats, I dropped form tier 1 to tier 2. Got several matches where I got a an upvote, but in vast majority of cases, even with winning, I would get a red arrow. With smart people against you, who know what cover is, ams, ecm, it is impossible to play them seriously. You would need your full team cooperation by that. In return, you should be their suppression and area denial provider. Your suggestion would have made them completely useless even in tier 5 and thus unnecessary. Hence, stop trying to make this game more like CoD and other garbage.
