I'd bought a couple of platinum variants and I'd been enjoying them and their shiny silver skinz. I wanted to get myself a new pack and lo and behold they is gorn, vanished, invisible, unable to be seen. They are not there!

Seems a shame

Yes my first bite at the platinum collection was custom - I just like this as a very cheap way of getting new mechs that can be specced differently and it allows me to skin other variants too.

I've noticed the skin is highly colourable for great effects

I bought a few platinum packs, both pre-mades and later custom.

I found the pre-mades, more than once, introduced me to a new variant I would otherwise have had no interest in, and ended up liking quite a bit.

I'd encourage people to get some pre-made platinums whenever they go on sale again, they may be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Completely agree.

4 Mechs and bays, and a shiny skin for $5 is a bargain in this game. I'm gonna choose something I've not run before, next time.

I found I now have 2x Jenner IIC A(P) variants - which isn't awful but it's difficult to build that variant very differently
