Adder Warthog - APGauss build
I prefer fast, short range mechs. My eyes just aren't good enough to snipe anymore. I also can't get the hang of slow moving mechs. I feel like I am moving at a glacial pace at 80kph and moving at the slow pace of assault mechs is pure torture for me!

Excluding king crab that I recently got and don't really know what I'm doing since it's my first assault mech.

I like my other mechs too, but it is always:
Take mech with short guns - Alpine Peaks
Take mech with LRMs - Solaris
It would be fun if there was option to join quickplay and game will pick one random mech for you, or select more mechs to join match and then you can pick one that fits you best for that match.

It should be crap because the HLF has bad hit boxes, it’s hot, and the cooldown on the HLLs is long, but for some reason it does pretty well for me. You can run the same build without MASC on the Linebacker, but I don’t do as well in those.
Good hunting,

When things in quickplay get too silly, like the chaos of quickplay with the matchmaker turned off over the Easter weekend, I find the only way for me to go is very fast and mobile, otherwise my mechs just become victims of unpredictable circumstance on the battlefield.
This silly Flea sounds pretty ridiculous, but I have had a number of matches with 700+ damage and 2-3 kills.
Plus, honestly, it just hurts less when I get blown up in a Flea than it does when I get blown up in an Atlas...

You might also find me in my BJ-A (6xLMG, 2xXPL), LCT-PB (4xERML), or the DRG-1G (3xSnubs, 1xMRM10).

I have 69 mechs at the moment, and I only play fewer than a handfull of them. The handful does change over time. I will often try new things as the meta evolves.

That's normal for everyone. We acquire mechs, and the ones we go to change over time. I have 225 and I play maybe 10 regularly. Which 10 changes every few patches.

Thunderbolt missiles are inconsistent right now, but, like ATMs, they work best on mechs which can jump. the Highlander series can all jump really well and have the tonnage to mount enough ATMs that a salvo is scary. I'll be very interested to play this once TBs get buffed in the April patch

I'm starting to really love the Charger 1A1 and the quirks on the Locust 1V are great when I'm in a backstabby mood.
