The Charger CGR-1A1 is a terror!
LE385 engine gives you 85+ kph, and TC8 (!) greatly increases your erSML to 360m/720m optimal/max range!

Notable fast giant in my mechbay, Banshee 3M with a 400XL goes 73kph with full speed tweak.
This is my old FP build from 5~6yrs ago. To my surprise, still quite good in QP and not an XL death trap. The banshee seems to handle it pretty well at this speed.

Not breaking any records, but fast for its weight while still having a viable loadout. 3 ERPPCs (no ghost heat), ~84kph (tweaked) at engine cap of 385XL. XL's probably gonna be divisive in this one, but it can do it if you use that speed and shield well.

I love fast mechs, so this is right up my alley. People have pretty much covered everything.

The only thing I'd like to add is to take into account the agility of a mech as well. Mechs with high top speeds are not necessarily the quickest and can be quite sluggish in practice. Acceleration, deceleration, turn rates and torso twist rates all contribute to how quick a mech is and how fast a mech feels. Mobility quirks are a must if you want to achieve the highest speed and agility.

Having said that, this is my list of mechs that combine both speed and agility.

• Dragon (very agile and fast, extremely tanky, can equip decent firepower)
  
• Champion (very agile and fast)
  
• Linebacker (extremely agile and fast for a heavy, a little low on firepower)

• Charger (very fast and agile for an assault)
  
• Battlemaster (fast and agile)

The Battlemaster, especially the BLR-1G, already sport a much improved torso twist angle, thanks to the Cauldron!

BLR-1G: in the year 2020, it was 60 degrees to each side (!). You literally cannot shoot someone beside you without turning.

BLR-1G: now it is 90 degrees by default to each side. Much better

Thanks for the update! I haven't used it much since back in the day and I've completely missed that. It was a little frustrating to pilot because of it. I've changed my post .

Gargoyle 95 tons goes 81 kph but armored like a heavy and armed like a medium.

The D is the best out of all of them though.
